An Up-and-Coming Town In The Hudson Valley May Be Your Best Chance To Invest Wisely or Score a Great Getaway
When was the last time you visited Catskill? If you haven’t been there in a while perhaps you missed the memo; the Village of Catskill is where it's at right now! It’s buzzing. Walk down the wide, well-maintained sidewalks in the middle of a workday and you’ll meet neighbors, business people taking a quick coffee break, people out getting important errands done, and the odd tourist shopping the galleries and home goods stores.
There was a time when Catskill’s business district, with its wide welcoming Main Street and beautiful architecture was peppered with some empty storefronts. Those days are decidedly in the past. Catskill’s Main Street has some of the most charming, well preserved village architecture in the Hudson Valley and shops like Magpie Bookshop, Mahalo and The Rodney Shop, galleries like the Greene County Council on the Arts Gallery, and restaurants like The New York Restaurant are giving locals and tourists alike a really good excuse to come admire it. Another reason for Catskill’s recent rise in popularity is that it’s quite easy to get to. Catskill is particularly well-located for those who want to commute elsewhere in the Hudson Valley and for second home owners who might be coming from New York City or Westchester. It has many merits of its own, but the fact that it has easy access to Hudson, Hunter and Windham Mountains, The Hudson and the New York State Thruway is a bonus.

As an example, this charming home with a unique cozy cottage feel, three bedrooms, two baths, and a detached studio is right in the Village. Within three days of the sign being tapped into the front lawn it generated such interest, that the sellers had multiple offers to purchase to choose from.
Now is the time to get into Catskill. There are a lot of opportunities out there.
