Greene County New York including Windham, Hunter, and Jewett is having an amazing year so far. At this point in 2016 the number of properties sold is up 22% and the total sales volume is up 25%. Greene County has traditionally been considered a winter destination but with more year round events and the areas ski centers incorporating year-round adventure experiences it is growing.
The first quarter of 2016 has come and gone. We always get asked "How's the Real Estate Market?". Well, here are some of the most important statistics through today (May 16, 2016).
Sales are up by 6% over the same period in 2015.
Volume is likewise up by 4% over the same period last year.
The areas with the largest growth in number of sales since the beginning of the year are:
1. Plattekill
2. Denning
3. Marlboro
4. Woodstock
5. Shawangunk
