The Hudson Valley Cheese Shop Crawl

There are very few universal truths in this world. Water is wet, the sky is blue, and nobody dislikes cheese. Think about it. Is there anyone you know that actively dislikes cheese? We're not talking about people who say they can’t eat it because it gives them the tummy rumbles. Those people deserve our pity and compassion. We're talking about someone who says they don’t care for cheese in general. They admit this in public! They just wander around, missing out on the world’s favorite food group, telling people about how they don’t like the smell of it, or the texture or the obvious joy it brings to a person’s life. Also, they prefer cloudy days to sunny ones and their favorite color M&M’s are brown. It sounds

Yes! It is fall, fall, fall! Upstate, that means that everyone gets an extra bump in energy. The constant sugar-high from all the apples, apple cider doughnuts, and artisanal mac and cheese on offer everywhere plus the crispy air makes for what feels like a brisk six weeks before the holidays set in. Our favorite events take place in late September and October. Everywhere you go there is a tasty treat to be had and a trail to take that is wonderfully different this time of year. This isn't an exhaustive list of what's going on in the coming weeks (by any means) but these are our recommendations for getting the best taste of the region and the season.

As the local experts in Real Estate, we're always looking for events, large and small, to share

Intro To Fencing

Where: Goshen, NY

Let's start with something completely out of the ordinary! Fencing isn't exactly a common hobby - but it's cool! This is fencing derived from the study of books and treatises of historical fencing masters from Europe. HOW could that NOT be interesting? Plus...swords! Kudos to the Goshen Public Library for having this niche event on their calendar.

Maureen Squires: Fascination

Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty’s Red Hook NY Real Estate office is proud to present the paintings of Maureen Squires in an exhibition titled Fascination as part of our "Gallery At Work" series. Squires' work is open for viewing 9-5 daily in our Red Hook office through September 15th, 2023.

"This exhibit represents fascination. First with words, making them look as they mean by choice of color, placement and script. Second, explosions of color as shown by the Hubble Space telescope. Infrared images that inspired me to try to capture these 'moments in time' that were no more immediately after they were attained, as nothing remains static in deep space." - Maureen Squires

Look for your community on our Hudson Valley and Catskills community information pages - there's a "Farms and Markets" resource for each town. Here's a short list of the many, many
