Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty’s Kingston NY Real Estate office is proud to present art prints of Margie Greve in an exhibition titled Summertime Blooms as part of our "Gallery At Work" series.

Margie Greve is a graduate of Skidmore College and studied printmaking at The Art Student’s League and The School of Visual Arts and patternmaking at The Fashion Institute of Technology. A lifelong fascination with sewing and construction led to a career as an artist in the home sewing industry. Margie has created portraits for Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, Crossroads: How the Blues Shaped Rock’n’Roll and Rock Saved the Blues and Americanaland: Where Country & Western Met Rock’n’Roll. She exhibits her work in New York City and the Hudson Valley.

In Greve's woodcuts, drawings, paintings and collages, she balances positive and negative space with bold shapes and powerful rhythms. Her long history of sewing is often evident in the subject matter and in the use of embroidery, fabric and sewing patterns which are incorporated into the artwork.
