The quaint town of Woodstock, NY, has long been celebrated as a mountain enclave of creatives and artists. Beyond the iconic music festival (which, of course, was not actually held in Woodstock), Woodstock is famous for its charming Village, centered around the green that we're named for (Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty), and its art scene. One of the nicest ways to enjoy Woodstock is by planning a day around visiting as many of the art galleries both in the village and outside as you can while taking breaks to visit the carefully curated retail shops in town and one or two of the restaurants (tacos anyone?) and/or stopping for desert (ice cream?). We've listed 13 galleries that are generally open and easy to visit knowing

Intro To Fencing

Where: Goshen, NY

Let's start with something completely out of the ordinary! Fencing isn't exactly a common hobby - but it's cool! This is fencing derived from the study of books and treatises of historical fencing masters from Europe. HOW could that NOT be interesting? Plus...swords! Kudos to the Goshen Public Library for having this niche event on their calendar.

Food Trucks… yeah… they’re still cool.

While I’ll admit I’m not a huge fan of a food truck fest because there are too many yummy things in one spot and I don’t like to gorge! AND because the areas where many food trucks can convene often don’t have enough shade for my taste – who wants a boutique burger that goes from medium-rare to medium while they take take a sip of their drink between bites? It’s summer – it’s hot! But, while I can pass on the fest - I still love a food truck. They’re still just as delightful as they were a decade ago when they started to make tracks. Chef is still a heartwarming movie with just the right amount of bite.  Food trucks endure – they are still. cool.

So what’s to do? How do we get our truck tacos in the shade?

Infrared images that inspired me to try to capture these 'moments in time' that were no more immediately after they were attained, as nothing remains static in deep space." - Maureen Squires
