We always hear that spending time in nature is good for us. But what exactly does that mean? I love wandering the woods. You probably love to be outside, too. But like me, you might need to know the why of something to prioritize it enough to make an impact. Here’s why spending time in nature is “good for you”. One day, two weeks ago, I was answering my social media messages and taking a few minutes to browse local news when, from several sources, I became informed that The Hyde Park Drive-In was reopening this summer! Woo-hoo! Obviously, this is wonderful news! I love a drive-in, and I was genuinely excited that this Hudson Valley icon was coming back! I was a little surprised, though, that it seemed like such big news... A lot is going on in the world. I was even more surprised to find, when I clicked through to articles, that there was no specified timeframe for its reopening, no screening schedule, and no mention of who the new proprietors are! The drive-in is owned by the National Park Service, and the land is leased to a tenant who is required to use
