A lifelong lover of the Hudson Valley, I am a grateful full-time resident of Woodstock, NY where I love to swim in the waterfalls, eat locally grown everything, explore new villages with my son, and make pottery in my garage studio.
I spent the first decades of my career in NYC as the public relations and marketing director for two leading book publishers, turning books into tools for social change and producing content for secondary media. I was also the host of a series at WNYC’s Greene Space, a book reviewer on nationally-syndicated ABC Radio, and a producer of documentaries about well-known writers.
After the sudden and miraculous arrival and adoption of my infant son, my family left Brooklyn for the countryside and began a whole new phase.
Like most New Yorkers I had a minor real estate obsession, and like many new parents I’d been watching perhaps a bit too much HGTV, so when I began to see a lot of antique homes with huge potential, I got… ideas. My professional skills in media production and marketing— scheduling, budgeting, coordinating colleagues to work towards a common creative goal, and getting the word out about each project to a target audience— seemed like they might be transferrable to restoring old homes so I dove in as an investor, designer, and general contractor.
I bought, restored, rented, and sold a number of single and multifamily homes from the early 18th through the mid-20th centuries. Everything about the process was a satisfying challenge of its own kind: the hunt for treasures in online listings and back roads alike, the art of the deal, the hard physical reality of dealing with what-is, the endless fun of dreaming up what-could-be, and the joy of seeing the house become a thing of beauty and a home. I came to see buildings as quasi-citizens in their communities and found a lot of fulfillment in making them good ones, not only always striving to work with integrity throughout the process, but also becoming a Certified Passive House Builder in order to learn the highest standards of sustainable building technology.
Combining my marketing, investing, building and restoration experience together led me here, to become a licensed real estate salesperson at the legendary Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty where I am honored to work amongst many of the best people in the business.
So, how can I help you? It is my mission and my pleasure to share my experience and passion with others through every step of their real estate adventures. Whether you are buying or selling, or even if you’re nowhere near ready but have some questions as your real estate dreams begin to take shape, give me a call or drop a line anytime.
I’d like to be your very best resource for all things real estate. Let’s talk.
