I grew up in western Pennsylvania about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh in an area very much like here in Ulster County, NY. Good friends would describe me as having a sharp wit, huge heart and the loyalty of a dog. I've been with the love of my life for nearly 30 years now and my wife is a local gal. We love to travel, hike, kayak and work with rescue dogs. Our breed of choice is the German Shorthair Pointer. Pointers are smart, stubborn and full of love, like us!
I moved to Kingston, New York in the fall of 1984 for a great job working for IBM. My background was in mechanics and electronics, and I fit in very well with their mainframe computer technician program. After 16 years there I was ready for a change, and I started a local land development business. I purchased a dozen or more building lots at tax sales and then improved them till they were shovel ready. Selling those lots thru a local Broker got me interested and in 2003 I decided to try my hand at selling real estate. I've worked full time in this profession ever since and I have to tell you that I love it! I've found the job to be very demanding at times but oh so fulfilling. Over the last 22 years I've sold so many homes and parcels of land and I feel equally versed in working with both buyers and sellers. It's such a wonderful feeling to help my client be able to get on to the next chapter in their lives.

I think once you look around a bit here in Ulster County, NY that you'll want to plant roots here. We're located about 2 hours from the heart of New York City and at the base of the gorgeous Catskill Mountains. We're also graced by the amazing Shawangunk Ridge that passes thru here. Climbers from around the world come to take on its sheer rock faces. You will find endless protected acres here as well in incredible parks like the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park. This area is teaming with streams to swim and fish and trails to hike or bike. The valley areas are full of fertile land and all the wonderful farms and wineries that go along with it. You might start out as a weekender here but soon you'll join us full time.
