Stone Ridge is a quiet farming community and home to SUNY Ulster (Ulster County Community College). Much of the Marbletown district has been designated as a New York State Historical District, owing to the existence of 100+ stone houses originally built in the 18th century. Davis Tavern is, in fact, reputed to be the oldest town house still standing in the state. Enterprising residents have now parlayed much of this history into a charming bed and breakfast industry extending throughout the area.
Farm stands and nurseries, restaurants, artist studios, gift and antique shops, and more await you, including some of the most beautiful scenery in the Hudson Valley.
