As a native of Kingston NY, I graduated Kingston High School in 1982. I went on to pursue a degree in fine art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where I studied the elements of painting, drawing and extensive art history. During this period I had the privilege of attending a semester abroad with the Studio Arts Center International in Florence Italy. After graduating I continued to live in Brooklyn for several years until I moved back to the Hudson Valley in 1992.

At that time I was fortunate enough to gain a position as assistant to the director of The James Cox Gallery in Woodstock. I often feel this period to be a continuation of my education as we handled many original works of the late 19th and early 20th century. This experience was invaluable as it gave me first hand knowledge of the business end of fine art including auctions and appraising techniques. I then went on to open my first gallery in midtown Kingston.

I have sat on the board of the Arts Society of Kingston and assisted with a number of international cultural exchanges. I had the privilege of representing Kingston in Northern Ireland in 2000 and in Munich, Germany in 2004. While producing shows at my gallery I was asked by the city of Kingston to curate an outdoor sculpture exhibition which led to a long lasting relationship with the municipality. This culminated in being elected for two terms as the Alderman representing uptown Kingston on the common council. During my tenure I worked on a number of legislative initiatives, most notably, zoning changes that created "mixed use" districts which now allow living/working lofts within our urban areas. I now continue to live in the stockade area and run my gallery The Livingroom.

I have been active in real estate since 2002 when I began to work as an appraiser. While learning a great deal about the local market, I felt it would be wise to enter sales and have held my license since 2004. I am very happy to be with the Coldwell Banker / Village Green team representing fine homes and property in the Hudson Valley and feel I bring many unique qualities to this field as my diverse resume would suggest.

As a native with knowledge of valuation and direct experience in city government, I feel I will represent you extremely well in your real estate endeavors. Be it as a buyer's broker or the listing of your home, I will be at your service each step of the way to ensure it is a smooth transaction.

I have heard it said that real estate sales can be much more of a fine art than an exact science and my experience has shown this to be very true indeed.
