First of all, I have to say that I'm not originally from this area, but of all the places I've ever lived, I do think it is the most beautiful. In fact, it reminds me of the exquisite Rhine River Valley in Germany, and with more waterfalls....! How wonderful is that? I have a few passions, but my first is education. You and I both must be confident regarding your real estate matters, and proper knowledge is a key component . My Bachelor of Arts in Economics is from the University of Missouri. When I moved to the East Coast, I earned my MBA from Rutger's University while at the same time, I was employed by Yellow Roadway Corporation. When I came to the Hudson Valley, I immediately fell in love with the area. I've always had a passionate interest in how people live, and the surroundings in which they choose to enjoy spending most of their time . Historic homes are my very favorite, especially if they're on the Hudson River! I live in a wonderful 1920's Arts & Crafts Cape home in Port Ewen, a beautiful town bordered by the Hudson on the east. It's a fabulous community with a new "green" town hall and a library overlooking the Hudson. It's truly a charmingly traditional village. Speaking of "green", I'm happy to say I have just earned my "Green" designation. This is the only such designation officially recognized by the National Association of Realtors. I am quite excited to start featuring green home living tips on my public access television show, which is broadcast on Friday evenings at 6:30 on Channel 23 in this area, and I'm beginning a new series about living and loving life in the Hudson Valley. Throughout my Real Estate career I have always sought to advance my education and have examined statistics at every opportunity. Current statistical evidence clearly shows that there is a trend toward localism centering around the new "urbanism", which means that villages are taking center stage as the model ideal residential community. As a resident of one, I can only say that I love it. This is especially true here because there is such a rich variety of activities close by. I have previously created and hosted a tv show featuring original arts and entertainment in the Hudson Valley, and I plan to add that aspect to my new green living TV program. There is a plethora of amazing talent in this area that spans all the arts, but its been something of a hidden secret....I'm eager to show you this, if not in person, then on my show! Another passion of mine I must mention is that I truly love to help people to achieve their dreams and I know real estate can play a big part in that if it's approached properly. I think Real Estate ownership is a proud quality of this country that distinguishes it from most other countries in the world - uniquely American, you might say.
